Here’s a part of the inking process I used in CS6 to create the picture:

Here is a quick sketch demo I did with my students recently. It starts as a drawing with the wacom tablet. Then a rough sepia tone image. The rough brush strokes are smoothed using the mixer brush. The painting is refined using the bristle brushes. Colors are added using hue and saturation adjustments layers.

Here’s an updated version of a t-shirt design I made a while back. I wanted to make my own spin on the Han Shot First Debate. (Because HE DID SHOOT FIRST!) I’ve submitted it to Riptapparel.com We’ll see if they pick it up. If not I’ll release it in my Rebubble Store in a few weeks.

In 2012 the Cal State Fullerton Visual Arts department curated an art show dedicated to the Science Fiction genre Steampunk. Many talented illustrators and alumni provided artwork for the show including yours truly. Steampunk was the brainchild of CSUF alumni authors James Blaylock, K.W. Jeter and Tim Powers who also attended the show. The catalog of over 80 illustrations is now available for pre-order. Click Here for more >>
